Baby Annoucement

Now that we made if "Facebook official," I can send out my lovely cards.  I admit it was very difficult to finding a layout that we both agreed on. I actually picked this same card but in a forest green which he hated. I love tinyprints.com They have so many selections.  Their website is super easy also. I highly recommend them.  They are not expensive in the least and are always running sales.  I used two coupon codes to get not only 25%off but also free shipping.

I did not want to give everyone heart attack when they opened their mail so I did announce it on Facebook first.   Many folks might want to know why did I decide to wait until I was 29 weeks pregnant to announce this pregnancy. Honestly, time just flew by.  At first, it was we were going to wait until the first trimester was over.  Then things got sticky with the ultrasound revealing I had a low lying placenta.  Plus, I just did not feel well for the majority of the time. I really did not feel like answering the "how are you feeling" question over and over.  This pregnancy was such challenge from the beginning.  I finally feel as though everything is settling down.    Then low and behold I end up in the hospital this past Sunday for unexplained bleeding.  DO NOT HAVE A HEART ATTACK, I'M OK. AND SO IS THE BABY. The doc just said I overdid it over Thanksgiving which I find hard to believe since I made an effort to do absolutely nothing. However, I did pick up my lovely Indian princess and walk up and down two flights of stairs.  So that might have done it, especially since I've been on pelvic rest since 20 weeks. What is pelvic rest? Run a search engine and you won't find a clear answer.  My midwife wasn't actually forthcoming either, "absolutely nothing in the vagina." I know TMI. It means don't do anything that can stress the pelvic floor (so no lifting my three year old), and nothing that can cause contractions because it can irritate the placenta.  Anyway, the last ultrasound that was taken during my lovely hospital stay, revealed that my placenta had migrated.  Anyway, that means I'm cleared for a vaginal birth which means I will be doing Labor Day, the way I want to. :)

Hopefully, I will manage to keep this blog updated.  I find Facebook a great tool for keeping in touch with everyone, but I do not want to post detailed descriptions and "revealing" photos on Facebook. Plus once the baby is born, there is bound to be some nursing photos that I will want to share.  Some of my Facebook Friends probably don't want to see pictures of my naked belly, (not that I plan on posting many on here either) or me nursing my baby either which I probably will post.
